Biography
The Central European Gas Hub (CEGH) is one of the most important trading hubs for natural gas in Central Europe and provides exchange services together with Vienna Stock Exchange (Spot Market; Futures Market). It provides international gas companies with an online platform for the settlement of natural gas trading activities in Baumgarten and other border points of the Austrian transmission system (e.g. Oberkappel, Überackern). In 2010, CEGH managed to achieve a trade volume of 33.8 billion m³ and established itself as one of the biggest gas hubs in Continental Europe.

Until 30.9.2006, Mr Steiner was Advisor for energy and environment in the Cabinet of the Austrian Federal Minister for Economy and Labour
