Biography
Trevor Smith joined GTI’s exploration and production business unit in 2008. His role is both sales oriented and operational to support sales. He is responsible for establishing strategic relationships and creating and expanding opportunities to grow the business. He is currently focused on global unconventional gas development in the areas of resource characterization, technology development, environmental stewardship, consulting and training.
Trevor has a multi-disciplinary background having worked in international economic development for 10 years prior to coming to GTI. He came to GTI having spent seven years with the Canadian Embassy in Chicago as Trade Commissioner where he was responsible for developing cross-border business in the energy, manufacturing, and construction sectors. Prior to that, Trevor spent 3 years directing capital investment projects to the North of England. He is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, who served in the Czech Republic from 1994-96. He holds an International MBA from the University of South Carolina and Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, a Bachelor of Urban Planning & Development and a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University.
